Rachael Courtier Psychotherapy and Coaching offers complimentary 15-minute consultations to allow prospective clients to ask questions and determine whether our services may be a good fit. The following terms apply:

  • No Therapist-Client Relationship is Formed. Participating in a free consultation does not establish a therapist-client relationship or any professional obligation to provide ongoing services. A formal therapeutic relationship is only created upon completion of a signed intake agreement and mutual consent to begin treatment.

  • Not a Therapy Session. The consultation is exploratory in nature, intended solely to assess mutual fit. No diagnosis, clinical assessment, or treatment recommendation will be provided.

  • Confidentiality. Information shared during the consultation will be treated with professional discretion consistent with California law and NASW ethical standards. However, because no formal treatment agreement is in place, this consultation is not covered under a HIPAA-compliant treatment record. Mandatory reporting obligations under California law remain in effect.
